M. Sammour, MD
Dr. M. Sammour started his distinguished medical career by graduating from the University of Pavia Medical School in Pavia, Italy. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. For more than 25 years, Dr. Sammour has practiced medicine at major institutions including the John Hopkins ARAMCO Saudi Campus, Kaiser Permanente Medical Groups in Dallas, Texas, and Gunderson Multi-Specialty Clinics in Tomah, Wisconsin.
In 2014, Dr. Sammour founded Houston Headache Institute to fulfill his passion for serving patients who have long suffered from headaches. A migraine sufferer himself, Dr. Sammour took interest in the field of Headache Medicine very early in his career. He has a unique, personalized approach to each patient. He truly understands that no two patients are the same when it comes to resolving Headache problems. This approach has resulted in consistent, successful outcomes for his patients, whether they sought his assistance in the United States or during his tenure at the John Hopkins ARAMCO campus in Saudi Arabia.
No matter where in the world he has practiced, Dr. Sammour has been the chief referral source of colleagues who have patients suffering from headaches.
Dr. Sammour’s diversified and international background has led him to offer a unique approach to patients suffering with headaches and migraines. He is always seeking new ways to treat headaches and other pain conditions, a trait that has made him one of the leaders of the field. He uses the latest medical techniques and technology. On a weekly basis, he treats hundreds of migraine patients who are both residents and non-residents of Texas.
His expertise ranges from regenerative bio-cellular treatment to proliferative therapy injections. He has attended extensive training courses and workshops for Prolotherapy and Biocellular treatments in several international and U.S. locations including Guadalajara, Mexico, Tampa, Las Vegas, and Lima, Peru, to name a few.
Both Dr. Payman Sadeghi and Dr. Sammour have mastered these techniques in order to create new treatments for migraines and headaches. They used their new techniques to successfully treat many patients who came to them with complicated and chronic migraines after failing to find successful treatments elsewhere.
Dr. Sammour is a member of the American Headache Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine, and he is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Sammour is fluent in English, Italian, and Arabic.
